God did not make man to be alone.

Deep talks with Siahthylegend

Today on the podcast I had a conversation with Siahthylegend about how dark this reality truly is, and when I tell you!! We had a deep moment talking about our trials with the topic of suicide and self-harm.

As a thirteen-year-old kid, my mother passed away, and I was super depressed! So depressed that my only release was through poetry; it was my true friend and my closest companion even in the times where I did not want to see tomorrow. “Damage My Love,” The first poem I ever wrote, or at least that I could remember writing.

love has found me,

But I never felt love, am I dead please say yes,

please say I was killed, and no one cared to bring flowers,

Love has found a crime scene with no tape because I was not worth the investigation,

LOVE NEVER FOUND ME!!!

because my emotions committed suicide in my mother’s womb.

My eyes saw the sky and the moon as I slowly.... slowly... died,

This is an anthem to the world! A decree that love has found me, but in fact the “Love” I found was a twisted and evil love; she would blind me with her touch and force me to degrade my soul. She was a figment of my imagination and ironically the push towards my creative nature.

On the podcast, Siahthylegend quotes:

“The second you start saying bad stuff about yourself, you are saying that God didn’t do a good job creating you. You aren’t giving God authority, but you literally making your voice a god at that point and it’s very dangerous.

The first thing you got to do, and as hard as it is! You have to get rid of it. you got to look for things that’s good about you, and you find things bad about you don’t complain! No you take initiative and you fix it,

if it’s porn get accountability that’s the only way, drugs same thing! Vaping, self-harm same thing…

Man kind was not designed to be alone, there was two humans at the beginning of creation.”

We are truly not made to live this life alone! Trust me, I’ve tried and completely failed. Look y’all, if God Himself had, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit! Then you must be in community with fellow believers in Christ!

Many say that that God can not be three in one, well okay, but let’s find out what the Bible says:

“In the beginning God created heaven and earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep water. The Spirit of God was hovering over the water.” (Genesis 1:1-2)

Even from the beginning we see God and the Holy Spirit in action, okay but what about Jesus? Where does He come into the picture as God?

He told some soldiers from his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshack, and Abednego so that they can be thrown into the blazing furnace… The King’s orders was so urgent, and the furnace was so extremely hot that the men who carried Shadrach, Meshack, and Abednego were killed by the flames from the fire…

Then Nebuchadnezzar was startled. He sprang to his feet. He asked his advisers, “Didn’t we throw three men into the fire?

“That’s true your majesty,” they answered. The kind replied, but look, I see four men, they’re untied, walking in the middle of the fire, and unharmed. The fourth looks like a son of the gods.” (Daniel 3:20,22, and 24)

God, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ are one in three parts, and you are one in three parts also! But that’s for another newsletter!

Hey! It is truly not good for man to walk this life alone, hey! Take it from Siah and I, we walked it alone and it sucked!!

But that fourth man! That fourth man led us through the fire! Hey click HERE to listen to Siahthylegend on the Broken Mindz Podcast.

MICHELIN ANDRE

When it comes to your relationship with God, it can be overwhelming knowing what to do or how to navigate the next step. There is an acronym that could help you when it comes to opening up your Bible: O.I.A.

This stands for observation, interpretation and application. When we memorize Scripture, it becomes permanently lodged in our brain. God can remind us of scriptures in the Bible as we process things or talk with someone, and He can prompt us to share those scriptures with them.

God wants us to talk to Him, and He wants us to talk to Him about everything. There isn’t anything that is hidden from God. There isn’t anything that surprises Him. Fasting puts us in the place of trusting God to fulfill our lives, and yes, that includes the physical feeling of hunger. It can be a challenge to fast away from food, but it doesn’t have to be just food. You can fast from other things in your life as well. Maybe you need to take a break from social media or your favorite streaming service. No matter what it is, this spiritual discipline encourages spending time with God, either in the Bible, in prayer or in worship.

Worship can be more than singing or playing an instrument, although that is a great way to worship God. Everyone has different ways they feel connected to God. For some, it could be a music playlist, for others it could be a hike in nature. This is a time to show love and adoration to God.

Lastly, attending church services is a great way to be in the same congregation with likeminded people that can encourage you, disciple you, pray with you and for you. Here are some verses to help strengthen your walk with Christ;

2 Timothy 1:7

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

Romans 5:8

But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

1 Peter 5:6-7

"Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

Psalms 112:6-8

"Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered for ever. They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord. Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear; in the end they will look in triumph on their foes."

MONARCH MADNESS

Hey y’all!! Welcome to Monarch Madness, where we talk about Faith, Fashion, art, and everything in between. My name is Chaqieta and our goal to free individual mindsets from worldly group think.

Sometimes, well a lot of the time. When we’re going through something tough, or may have not yet, had an encounter with the Holy Spirt; Jesus. Life can seem hopeless. We fight off as much as we can until we have no strength and the only thing left to say is, I’m not okay..

I was reminded of Psalms 34:18 and I hope it is well to you. Saying, “The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit (NKJV).”

Meaning, even when there is a heart full of sorrow the Lord has never left you and made a promise to save and delivery you from your affliction. With repentance (meaning sincere remorse and a willingness to want to change) God sees you.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and to not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

Know that God loves you! Imagine how painful it may feel to a plant when you trim and pull off every dead part. Ouch! Just as He prunes us through each season, it is to bear much fruit in us. To prosper you into your very best season. Trust in Him. Call on Him and He will remain near to you.
